Damien Duff could make his Fulham debut in the first leg of the Europa League play-off tie against Amkar Perm tomorrow night.
Fulham registered the Irish winger, signed from Newcastle for £4m, for European competition after he completed his transfer yesterday and he’s gone straight into the squad for the Craven Cottage fixture against the unheralded Russian side.
The only absentees for Fulham are long-term injury victims Toni Kallio (Achilles) and Simon Davies (foot), although the Welsh midfielder could be available for Sunday’s local derby with Chelsea.
UPDATE: Here’s a little bonus for you all. Duff’s first interview with the offal.
This is good news for me! I’m very excited about him!
Think he may well start, with Gera on the other flank. Dempsey looks like he could use all the rest he can get at the minute – not good with an entire season to come, possibly with more games than ever.
Great signing and very nice that he is available to play in Europe.
