The agent charged with negotiating a deal for Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen has revealed that four English clubs are interested in bringing the Danish international to the Premier League.

Portsmouth and Fulham are known to be chasing Poulsen, who is believed to be keen on securing first-team football to ensure that he takes part in the World Cup in South Africa next summer. It is unclear whether Fulham’s interest would be in a permanent move for the midfielder, who is apparently valued at around £6m, or in a loan switch.

Lee Anderson, working for Juventus on finalising a deal, believes that a move to the Premier League might be completed by Monday.

We have had expressions of interest from four southern-based clubs in England. We are having a meeting tonight and things could be wrapped up by Monday.
