Today’s News of the World reports that Hull City are interested in signing Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

Zamora has been something of a disappointment at Craven Cottage since joining Fulham in a double deal with John Pantsil last summer. He only mustered two league goals despite playing alongside Andy Johnson for most of the season and his two FA Cup goals came against lower-league sides: non-league Kettering and Championship Swansea.

The News of the World, who don’t mince their words in describing Zamora as a ‘Fulham flop,’ say that Phil Brown rates Zamora as a creator of chances. I guess it would all be down to the fee that Hull would offer as to whether Zamora’s on his way. A decent return on the £6.3m we paid for Zamora (mostly) and Pantsil would help fund a big money move for a striker. Watch this space.
