Eidur Gudjohnsen’s father has confirmed that he is likely to leave Barcelona but says he doesn’t know where the Icelandic striker will be lining up next season yet.

Arnor Gudjohnsen, who is also his son’s agent, told the Daily Mail that Fulham are one of three English clubs who have been in contact.

I think that Eidur will leave Barcelona, but I am not sure where he will end up playing next. ‘There are many possibilities open to him and apart from Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton, there are also clubs in other European countries that want him.

In recent days, the former Chelsea striker has suggested that he would be keen on linking up with Gianfranco Zola, now the manager at West Ham, again but it is believed wages would be the major stumbling block between a move to Upton Park.
