Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch has picked Fulham over Sunderland as his next destination, according to Sky Sports News.

There has been fevered speculation over where the England international would end up once it become clear Pompey were seeking summer sales to alleviate their financial troubles. Crouch took part in Portsmouth’s training session this morning – but he is expected to leave Fratton Park before too long.

Roy Hodgson is keen to take Crouch to Craven Cottage and an £11m deal could be funded by the sale of Bobby Zamora, who is the subject of significant interest from Hull City. Crouch would prefer a return to London over a switch to the Stadium of Light and Fulham are believed to be the frontrunners despite rumours of a late approach from one of the giant striker’s former sides, Tottenham.
