Another great performance by the States last night, just such a shame they couldn’t hold on. One thing’s for sure: nobody will be taking them lightly after this tournament and nor should they.
The most pleasing thing for Bob Bradley would be that they achieved all this without a few key players. I felt they missed the coach’s son last night and that the substitutions were a little baffling, but credit to them for giving it a real go.
It says everything about Clint Dempsey’s development as a player that you weren’t surprised to see him finish with aplomb for that first goal. After a great season for club and country, Deuce needs a rest now before getting back to his best with Fulham.
I wonder if Roy would consider coaching a national team in a couple of years.
I know of an up and coming side that could really use a top flight man at the helm…
Hey Army of Dad,
This is how rumours start. Hands off. What happened to Klinsmann anyway? Thought he was a favourite for the US job post-Arena or did I just dream it?
Sorry, but for me its country over club! Klinsmann couldn’t get what he wanted from USSF so that is a dead horse and with Bayern’s struggles last season his star has fallen.
Roy would help elevate the tactical game of US players and wouldn’t want to “meddle” in the youth system as Klinsmann. Really, what will Roy be doing after the 2010 World Cup? I would like to think the US will do well, but if they crash out early again then Bob Bradley will be on the outs…
