A massive night for the United States is almost upon us. If you needed reminding, the US will kick off against Brazil in the final of the Confederations Cup in less than three quarters of an hour.

If you don’t have BBC3 – the rather strange scheduling of an international tournament surprises me, but then I don’t decide where the licence fee gets spent – and you live in the United Kingdom, you can watch all the action here.

I see that Clint Dempsey, who did so much to get the States to their first international final, has been shortlisted for the Player of the tournament award. When you consider how poorly he – and the States – started the competition, that is recognition of just how good he’s been of late. He’s in some exalted company – and he fully deserves it.

I’ll be cheering Clint and the States on tonight. Let me know what you think will happen, or give us your in-game analysis below.
