Derby still seem keen on getting rid of Giles Barnes – but I still think that the proposed £2m asking price will still prove too steep steep for Fulham.
County have rejected our approachy to take Barnes on another loan (the last one wasn’t really very instructive due to the midfielder’s injury problems) and have told all the teams interested in the player that they will have to cough up to secure his services. The trouble is that Roy has already said that he would be wary of splashing out on a player who he has not seen play in the Premier League.
