Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is reportedly keen to take David Stockdale on a season-long loan after his success with the Foxes this term.

City are said to be interested in signing Stockdale, who spent two months on loan at Leicester as they secured an immediate return to the Championship. With Pascal Zuberbuhler still the number two at Fulham, Stockdale’s loan move to Leicester was vital to give the 23 year-old the first-team experience to aid his development.

Stockdale himself gave credence to the rumours of a return in an interview before Leicester’s last game of the season.

It would be a nice option and I would be back in a shot. I’d certainly never say no to returning and it’s being discussed between the two clubs, which is a nice thing.
