Sky Sports are reporting that Walter Smith is considering taking Hameur Bouazza to Ibrox this summer.

With Bouazza seemingly not part of Roy Hodgson’s plans at Fulham, Rangers are considering making a move for the Algerian winger, who has rarely featured since Hodgson took over at Craven Cottage. He has spent this season out on loan with two Championship sides – playing the first six months of the season at Charlton and then helping Birmingham win promotion to the Premier League.

It is believed that Bouazza’s international colleague Majid Bougherra alerted his club to Bouazza’s position. Whether Rangers take another player off our hands – they signed Steven Davis at the start of the season – I don’t expect Bouazza to be still with us come August.
