Stiliyan Petrov has warned his Aston Villa team-mates that they will need to be on top of their game to take all three points from Saturday’s trip to Fulham.

The Whites have lost just four of their 17 league games at Craven Cottage, recording ten home wins. Petrov also acknowledged Roy Hodgson’s influence on Fulham and believes that being adventurous could be the way to securing a win.

They have a very good manager who knows what he wants and they’re a very well organised side.

They are a side who know how to play, they are in good form and they’re playing well at home.

But on the other hand we’ll go there and try to win. I hope that we can start winning now and try to play better.

Villa ended a terrible run with a win over Hull City on Monday and Petrov wants to use that momentum to ensure that his side hold onto fifth place in the table.

The last three games will be vital because Everton are right behind us.

We know that they will be right there until the last game of the season because they want to finish fifth as well so we’ll fight until then.
