Roy Hodgson signed Olivier Dacourt on loan from his former employers Inter Milan in February 2009 as the Whites were desperate for experienced midfield cover. The French international made twelve appearances, mostly from the bench, including an imposing display as Fulham beat Manchester United 2-0 at Craven Cottage in a famous win. The defensive midfielder helped Fulham finish seventh in the Premier League but his time in SW6 was disrupted by a number of niggling injuries.
