The Sun’s splash on Arsenal’s interest in Brede Hangeland had everyone a little worried.
But Fulham don’t seem particularly concerned. In his preview video ahead of the Everton game, Roy Hodgson takes the view that sort of speculation will always occur. He still seems pretty confident that Fulham will be able to make a persuasive case to keep Hangeland at the Cottage as the club gets ready to finalise negotiations over a new contract.
Hangeland’s agent certainly isn’t touting him around either.
It is natural that there will be interest such has been his form this season, and it is my job to listen to such interest. But Fulham have not yet completed their league campaign, and there is no comment to make on his future at the moment.
I’m sure there will be conversations over his future as time develops.
