Modeste M’Bami says he wants to try his luck in the Premier League after confirming that he will leave Olympique Marseille when his contract expires in the summer.

The Cameroon international midfielder, 26, has been linked with a move to one of three top flight sides in this country. Although Fulham and newly-promoted Birmingham are interested, it is understood that Blackburn are in pole position. The French press have reported that Rovers are already holding negotiations with the player’s agent.

M’Bami told Sky Sports:

I have made my mind up to move to another league.

The Premier League will be my first choice but I am not focused only on the Premier League. I will make my destination clear in the next two weeks.
