Fulham are among a host 0f English clubs keeping an eye on the progress of Standard Liege left back Landry Mulemo.

The Belgian international has only a year left on his current contract and it is thought that Standard are keen to cash in on his value with plenty of suitors having sent scouts to check on Mulemo.

Birmingham, who have just been promoted to the top flight, Hull, who are in danger of dropping out of it and Wigan are understood to be Fulham’s chief rivals should we decide to make a firm offer for the 22 year-old. Roy Hodgson could be keen to add some cover for regular left back Paul Konchesky as the Whites currently only have Toni Kallio as experienced cover for the ex-West Ham and Charlton defender.
