I’ve seen a fair bit of West Brom over the season just gone. They played some great football, but went down largely due to a lack of quality in both boxes. I can tell you this about Marc-Antoine Fortune. He’s big and strong but, as someone writing on another Fulham website admirably put it, his woeful finishing makes Bobby Zamora look like Pele.
Fortune wouldn’t be the man I’d be striving to make my first summer signing. From the Baggies, I’d be more inclined to go for Koren – who we’ve apparently been watching – or Chris Brunt. Let’s just hope this is a case of agent trying to engineer interest rather than anything more substantial.
