It’s only Monday – but attention has turned to our trip to Newcastle at the weekend. You could probably forgive Aaron Hughes for having mixed emotions at the possibility of sending the Magpies down – but he’s a true professional, even if it might make for an interesting discussion at the dinner table.
My wife Samantha and all her family are from up there, so it’s disappointing they are where they are. She was a Newcastle fan but has always supported whoever I’m playing for.
It would be a shame if they went down, but I can’t play the game thinking that – I’m playing for Fulham and giving everything for my team.
