Leicester have extended the loan spell of David Stockdale and the young Fulham goalkeeper will stay at the Walkers’ Stadium until the end of the season.

The Foxes initially signed Stockdale, who joined Fulham in the summer, as cover for on-loan keeper Mark Bunn but gained an opportunity in the first team when Blackburn Rovers recalled Bunn in the midst of a goalkeeping injury crisis at Ewood Park.

Stockdale, who enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Rotherham earlier in the summer, made two appearances for Leicester but got injured in their match against Tranmere and has since lost his place to a former Fulham goalkeeper in Tony Warner. He has agreed to stay with City until the end of the season.
