I knew that story suggesting that Danny Murphy was about to join West Ham was a load of nonense.
You can see why the Hammers would be interested in Murphy, who has had an excellent season at the heart of our midfield. But Danny’s clearly enjoying life at Fulham, has been handed real responsibility to Roy Hodgson and is obviously central to the manager’s plans. It’s still reassuring to hear he’s got no plans to leave.
This is a team in clear progression and I want to be part of that for as long as possible.
The squad has progressed massively this season. Everything has evolved, and the distance we’ve come in quite a short space of time under Roy Hodgson is unbelievable.
