Brede Hangeland says Fulham can still better their highest-ever finish in the top flight despite the heartbreaking nature of our defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Fulham’s best Premier League finish to date is ninth, where they currently sit in the table, which they acheived back in 2003-04 – which was Chris Coleman’s first full season in charge.
The Norway centre back, so impressive this season, reckons that a Europa League place isn’t out of reach either, despite Fulham still being two points behind seventh place.
It was disappointing to lose like that [against Liverpool]. But if we play well we could still have the best season Fulham have ever had in the Premier League. I’m sure if you asked the players they would love to achieve it.
Hangeland admits he would love to play in Europe in again.
Some of the most memorable games I’ve taken part in have been in Europe. It would be great to make it.
