Fulham have issued a strongly worded statement in response to the highly speculative and error-prone article in the Evening Standard earlier today.

Fulham’s Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed is angered by claims in the Evening Standard that he is interested in selling the Club and dismisses any notion that the Club is up for sale.

The comment was made by an analyst who has nothing to do with the Club, who has never spoken to the Chairman, and who the Chairman believes is ignorant of Fulham and its position.

Following a fantastic season under Roy Hodgson, the Chairman wants to assure the fans that he is as committed as ever to the Club and to its future success.

That should quell talk of a sale.
