Second choice goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler has revealed he is in talks over possibly extending his contract at Fulham.

Zuberbuhler has made just one appearance for Fulham this season, playing in the League Cup defeat against Burnley.

At 38 years of age he appears to be very much number two at Fulham behind Mark Schwarzer, although the Switzerland international has not given up hope of ousting the Australian.

Zuberbuhler believes he is training better than ever, and he is hopeful he will be handed a fresh deal with the West London club.

“I’m still very fresh and go with a lot of joy to training,” the veteran told Baz.online. “ I have a contract until the summer signed and I am very happy in London.

“There have been talks with Fulham and my agent has also been contacted. In the end, the decision will be made by the manager and the goalie coach.

“At the moment I would like to continue to play and practice. My body is in better shape than ever, so why should I stop now? And I like the city enormously.”
