Hot on the heels of yesterday’s post comes news that Collins John has returned to Fulham.
The quotes from NEC’s technical director sound depressingly familiar.
Neither Collins nor the club feels that he has been the important player to us that he could have been.
Collins has not played and he would otherwise have remained at NEC for the rest of the season without any prospect of lining up for us. So, it is better that we sat down together as adults to find a good solution.
For his part, John had this to say.
I’m disappointed with this season in that I’ve hardly had any chance to play. Unfortunately, I only had a few chances with NEC. As for where my career will lead me now, it’s not clear. Over the coming weeks I’ll weigh up my options.
It’s probably crystal clear he doesn’t have a future at Fulham.
Roy Hodgson reclamation project? If he can turn Collins John back on again he really is a genius.
Nah, mate, I think CJ’s done at Fulham. They were very keen to offload him last summer and I personally wouldn’t put him ahead of any of our current four strikers. Shame because had potential but he chose not to use it.
