The People are reporting this morning that Roy Hodgson was in Belgium last night as Bosnia-Herzegovina recorded an impressive 4-2 in their latest World Cup qualifier.
The reason for Hodgson’s flying visit was the Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko. The 23-year-old has been on a fine run of form lately, scoring eight goals in his last ten matches. The bad news is that he’s valued at around £12m – which was the kind of figure that saw Fulham back away from signing two targets in January – and we are not alone amongst Dzeko’s English admirers. David Moyes and Ricky Sbragia were in the crowd as well and Arsenal are reportedly interested too.
Dzeko scored the first goal last night – the highlights of which are here.
