Brede Hangeland has repeated that he’s very happy at Fulham and has no desire to move on in the summer.

That probably won’t stop the redtops linking him to all and sundry, however. Apparently moneybags Manchester City are the latest club to be after our giant  Norweigan defender.

During my career there have been times when there’s been a lot of speculation; when I was in Denmark and Norway.

I’ve learnt not to think about it and I also know that speculation could be nothing. Obviously I’m happy when people think I’m doing well.

That’s the most important thing – the manager, the players and the fans at Fulham are happy with what I do. It’s a big thing for me.

I’ve said it all along – I’m having a great time here and I’m happy at this club and I’d like to stay here for a long time.

Hangeland rates last season’s escape act as one of the best achievements of his career.

It was an unbelievable experience and for me it was very important because maybe I took a risk coming here because of the position the club was in.

There was a lot at stake towards the end of the season. To pull that off was probably the best feeling I’ve had as a footballer. Even though I’ve won a few things, to avoid relegation, that’s maybe even a better feeling. To come out of it as we did I was very happy!
