Press reports are suggesting that Fulham are taking a closer look at promising Cypriot midfielder Georgios Efrem.

The 19 year-old Glasgow Rangers player has impressed during a loan spell at First Division side Dundee. Efrem, who plays  as an attacking midfielder or up front, has scored twice in six appearances already during his loan spell. Fulham scouts have already watching Efrem in action but Roy Hodgson may need to move quickly as fellow Premier League sides Bolton and Middlesbrough, as well as promotion chasing Reading, are also reported to be interested in signing Efrem.

Efrem served his apprenticeship at Arsenal and was a regular fixture in the Gunners’ youth sides. He moved north of border in May 2007 but found first-team opportunities limited, becoming a regular in the Rangers reserve side. Efrem has made ten appearances for the Cyprus U21s.
