This might be old news, but I’ve only just come across it. It seems like Collins John’s attitude problem has resurfaced in Holland.
NEC coach Mario Been has sent him to train with the reserves.
Some unpleasant things happened between Collins and the club. Therefore, I’ve made the decision to banish him to the reserves for a while.
This follows an unsuccessful trial with Charlton Athletic, who are currently struggling at the bottom of the Championship.
All this is so frustrating after the immediate impact he had when he signed from FC Twente in 2004. That first season showed his potential, which now seems destined to remain unfulfiled.
He’s had enough chances innit…
Good spot – I was wondering where he’d ended up. I’m guessing he’ll be a free agent come the summer.
