Fulham striker Andy Johnson says that without our wretched away form the Whites would be challenging even further up the Premier League table.

Fulham have one just once away from home in the league – breaking their duck at Bolton earlier this month – and their mid-table league position has been maintained on the back of a very strong home record.

We have really shown what a strong team we are at the Cottage. It’s a pity we haven’t replicated that form away because I think we could have been in or around the top.

Johnson reckons that fellow professionals are warming to our style of play too.

I think the style of football that Fulham plays, really suits my game. I’m so pleased with how the gaffer wants us to play – it’s the way the game should be played. When I first joined I just couldn’t believe how well we passed the ball about.

And that’s something that I hear all the time now, particularly from players from the opposing teams. It’s great to hear because it’s a massive compliment.
