Fulham forward Diomansy Kamara wants to return to first team action against his old club West Bromwich Albion next week.
The remarkable recovery of the Senegalese striker following cruciate ligament damage last summer has him hoping to bypass a spell in the reserves.
Kamara believes he is almost ready to challenge for a place in the first team.
He said: “It might not necessarily be the reserves. I’m hoping it will be the first-team group I rejoin, and I’m feeling in excellent shape.”
