Rich has got a lovely visual representation of Diomansy Kamara’s return.
He got a great reception from the back of the Hammersmith End where I was sat when he came on. And, boy did we see just how important his pace could be up front.
He was very eager to get involved in the game and had one lovely mazy run. It was, of course, great to see him back and, as he recovers match sharpness, he can only get better. That’s a lovely thought.
Murphy was outstanding yesterday. Etuhu may well be allowing him more freedom than he had when playing alongside Bullard, but I lost count of the number of pin point defence splitting passes he managed. Great stuff.
I also thought Murphy was excellent. In an interview on Radio Five Live a few weeks back he mentioned that he was now playing a more advanced role than he had been before Bullard left. Yesterday certainly showed he’s got the quality to do it (see my Murphy post).
Nice to see Kamara full of running again – hopefuly he’ll be on the bench again tomorrow night.
