Roy Hodgson was delighted with his side’s performance after they left a massive dent in Arsenal’s Champions’ League challenge with a 0-0 draw at the Emirates.

Hodgson told the BBC:

There were times in the game when we played to our full potential – it was as good as it gets from us.

We were a constant threat and we carved out many opportunities. Arsenal are an offensive side at home and we matched them.

We were well organised and the shape of our team was good.

UPDATE: Sky’s interview with Hodgson reveals a slight frustration at our inability to take our chances though.

I am just disappointed we didn’t win it – our shooting wasn’t at its best. When Arsenal got behind us, they tested Schwarzer more than we tested Almunia.

We could have made him make more saves but in general, yes, it’s a good draw for us.

We have come here today and got a point – and that wasn’t down to a siege mentality. As a result, any neutrals would have seen a very entertaining game of football.
