The rumours about a January exit for Leon Andreasen have been swirling about for some time. It looks like they may have an element of truth to them.

This article suggests that Andreasen might be on his way back to the Bundesliga. Three German sides are interested in signing the Danish international midfielder and Hannover have confirmed that they would like to secure a transfer. Andreasen is, according to the piece, keen to leave London after making just 18 appearances for the Whites.

For me, this would be a real shame. Leon was obviously brought in by Roy as the kind of tigerish player to shake up our lightweight midfield and made an impression in his first few games before being sacrificed as we went for broke with a four man midfielder in the final months of the season. Since then, he’s never really rediscovered a first-team spot.

I feel he offers more going forward than Dickson Etuhu, although it is still early in Dickson’s Fulham career. He’s good on the ball, a tough tackler and a fine distributor and, for me, would be a real loss. The reported £2m we might receive for his services, however, could be reinvested into the squad to interesting effect. We’ll have to wait and see.
