Just three days before the end of the January transfer window, Hannover have signed Danish midfielder Leon Andreasen for Premier League side Fulham.

The Niedersachsen side, who are currently 13th in the Bundesliga, have made Andreasen their first winter signing and given him a contract until 2012.

“With this transfer, which has a lot of potential for the future, we can react to our long injury list,” explained Hannover president Martin Kind.

Andreasen has 47 Bundesliga appearances to his name already, having played for Werder Bremen and Mainz between 2005 and 2007.  He has scored six goals.

Hannover have suffered horribly with injuries this season and currently have Jan Schlaudraff, Vinicius, Steve Cherundolo, Altin Lala and Valerien Ismael out injured.
