Only the other day I was reading that Luis Boa Morte was going to fight for his place at West Ham and win over the boo boys. Now, it looks like he’s going to be part of the Upton Park fire sale.

In an attempt to hold onto his stars, Gianfranco Zola has began to ship out some of his frindge players. Boa Morte, who joined West Ham two years ago after seven years at Fulham, is about to join Matthew Etherington, Lee Bowyer and Callum Davenport on his way out of the club. West Ham have agreed a £2m fee with Hull City for the Portuguese winger, who hasn’t reproduced the sort of form we saw for much of his time at Fulham.

He has, however, been something of a regular for Zola this season. Boa Morte has made 17 appearances for the club this term and started last weekend’s comfortable Cup win over Barnsley.
