Apparently Fulham are invovled in a massive tug-of-war for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.

Onuoha has found first team opportunities limited at the City of Manchester Stadium since he came back from injury and there are a queue of clubs clamouring for his signature. New Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is keen to sign the defender but apparently could settle for a part-exchange deal if City are intent on reuniting Roque Santa Cruz with Mark Hughes.

Newcastle are desperate to find cover for their injured full back Habib Beye and Onuoha reportedly features on Joe Kinnear’s list of transfer targets. Wigan boss Steve Bruce is keen to bolster his squad as he attempts to build on an impressive start to the season, whilst The Mirror also lists French side Paris Saint-Germain, who are enjoying their best league campaign in recent years, as being interested.

Our interest is little more than speculation at the moment but, as I said before Christmas, you would like to think that our high league position would give us a good chance of signing Onuoha should we make a bid.
