Kagiso Dikgacoi has been popping up everywhere in the last week or so claiming that his move to Fulham is on. We’ve been caught up in the frenzy, but I often wondered what would be gained by signing an unproven South African midfielder. Well, after the Chelsea game, Roy Hodgson put an end to all the speculation.

He told the BBC that we had Dikgacoi on trial for two days and let him go saying that: ‘We certainly had no intention of signing him’. He then subtly suggests that the player or his agent might be the source of the rumours continuing to link him with the club.

That should put an end to that one then.
