The Mirror links us with a January swoop for QPR’s Dexter Blackstock.

Whilst he’s been in good form for QPR this season, I sincerely hope it isn’t true. Firstly, I would hope that we’ve learnt our lesson about buying players who look good in the Championship. We’ve been there and done that and it nearly got us relegated. Secondly, Blackstock’s already had a chance in the top flight – and although he was young – didn’t pull up any trees with Southampton.

Considering Roy brought Erik Nevland – who I thought made a real impact yesterday, by the way – to the Cottage for £1.85m surely they would be a better bargain out there somewhere?
