Jimmy Bullard is due to discuss a new deal at Fulham in January.

The talismanic midfielder has battled back from a career-threatening knee injury to become a key player in Roy Hodgson’s reshaped midfield. The 29 year-old was subject of some transfer speculation during the close season, with Bolton and Wigan Athletic linked with moves for the midfielder, and Everton have been reported to be planning a bid in the new year.

But Bullard has revealed that he is set for talks with Fulham over a new contract in the new year:

“I love Fulham to bits and I want a new contract. The club have said they will speak about it again in January and that’s good news.”
