Fulham will kick off the new season without £10.5million striker Andrew Johnson, who is still recovering from a thigh injury.

The England international is manager Roy Hodgson’s only absentee for their opening fixture at Hull City apart from long-term knee injury victim Diomansy Kamara and the former Inter Milan boss must decide how many debuts are to be handed out at the KC Stadium.

Goalkeepers Mark Schwarzer, Pascal Zuberbuhler and David Stockdale, defenders John Pantsil and Fredrik Stoor, midfielders Andranik Teymourian and Zoltan Gera and striker Bobby Zamora will all be hoping for first appearances for their new club.
