Fulham are closing in on the signing of West Ham striker Bobby Zamora with the player undergoing a medical at Craven Cottage.

The Cottagers agreed a fee with West Ham for Zamora and Hammers team-mate John Pantsil last week as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

West Ham gave Zamora and Pantsil permission to talk to Fulham and it appears the former has agreed personal terms with Roy Hodgson’s men.

Zamora moved to Upton Park from Tottenham in 2004 and has gone on to score 30 goals in 130 appearances for the club.

The striker could fill the void left by Brian McBride’s departure from Craven Cottage earlier this summer.
