Premier League newboys Hull City completed a triple swoop for former Fulham goalkeeper Tony Warner, Plymouth winger Peter Halmosi and Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng on Wednesday.

Warner was signed by Fulham in 2005, after time at Liverpool and Millwall, and released in May 2008. Warner has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the newly promoted side.

Hull boss Phil Brown said: “We’ve also brought Tony Warner in and he arrives to give us a bank of three keepers who can all play at Premier League level which is great for us. They’re now in a race for that number one spot and from my point of view, let the race begin!”
