Tony Warner signed for Fulham on an emergency loan from Cardiff City at the start of the 2005 season as Chris Coleman searched for a solution to a goalkeeping injury crisis. The former Liverpool keeper kept a clean sheet on his debut against Birmingham and earned a permanent move to SW6 on account of some excellent early displays. He eventually lost his place to Antti Niemi and spent time on loan with Leeds, Norwich City and and Barnsley before joining Hull City after being released by Fulham in the summer of 2008. Warner is currently Reading’s goalkeeping coach.
