Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente claims Fulham have made an offer for his services.

The 23-year-old, who was educated at the Bilbao side, is believed to have impressed Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson last season when he scored 11 goals in La Liga.

Llorente has been linked with a departure from the Basque outfit, but he claims he will stay at El San Mames next season.

“There has been a real offer, but nothing happened,” he said. “It’s from Fulham. I’m very happy here, I’m improving. This year is to see if we continue here, but I’m comfortable. There’s room for me to improve here.”

Hodgson has admitted he may bring in three more players, even though The Cottagers have already signed Bobby Zamora, John Paintsil, Andranik Teymourian, Zoltan Gera, David Stockdale and Mark Schwarzer.
