Fulham are mounting a summer move for Birmingham City full back Stephen Kelly, according to reports from the Midlands.

Roy Hodgson is keen to strengthen at right back after Paul Stalteri’s loan came to an end and has already made an offer for Swedish international Fredrik Stoor. Republic of Ireland international Kelly, who played every minute of Blues’ Premier League campaign last season, would be incredibly interested in an immediate return to the top flight following Birmingham’s relegation.

The 24 year-old is ready to test Birmingham’s resolve to hold onto one of their most consistent performances with a substantial offer this week. Kelly has made 81 first-team appearances in two seasons at St. Andrew’s since he left Tottenham Hotspur in June 2006 and helped the Blues return to the Premier League as they finished runners-up in the Championship in his first season with the club.
