Bernard Mendy appears to be Fulham bound, with some press reports going as far as saying that the French defender has already agreed a two-year deal with the Craven Cottage side.

The 26-year-old is now officially a free agent, after having turned down a contract extension offer from Paris Saint Germain earlier this week.

In his most recent interview he made no mention of the Cottagers, but did confirm that his time in the French capital is most likely up.

“I do not know. For the moment, no,” he said when asked about whether he still may have a future at PSG.

“I think that Pedro (Pauleta), Mario (Yepes), Jerome (Alonzo) and myself, have given a lot to the club. And we do not know what our future is made of.

“It will be decided on Tuesday. We are waiting, we are out of contract.

“It was our last game with PSG.

“The directors have to strengthen the team if they want to be competitive next season.”
