Brian McBride is considering a return to the United States to play in Major League Soccer.
The striker is out of contract next month at Fulham, where he was club captain and helped the team to stay in the Barclays Premier League with victory away to Portsmouth last week.
The United States forward, who will turn 36 next month, has scored 32 goals in 140 league appearances for Fulham since he joined four years ago and has reportedly been offered a new one-year deal at Craven Cottage.
Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew are interested in signing McBride, who played for the latter in the inaugural season of the MLS in 1996.
