Swedish striker Björn Runström was signed by Chris Coleman on the back of a fine season with Hammarby in 2006. The Fulham manager watched Runström score twice in the Stockholm derby and paid £700,000 for his services. He struggled to establish himself in England, making just two senior appearances for Fulham and finding a loan spell with Luton equally difficult. Runström was released by Fulham in 2008 and eventually returned to Hammarby before retiring in 2013.
