Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy is ready to pledge his future to Fulham, even if they are playing in the Championship next season.

The midfielder has made 27 starts since arriving in the summer, most of them following the arrival of Roy Hodgson as manager.

Fulham could be relegated on Saturday if they lose at Manchester City and Bolton and Reading both win, yet Murphy would be prepared to stay put.

The 31-year-old former, who is out of contract at the end of the season, said: “I’ve certainly no intention or desire to leave the club, no matter what the predicament next season.

“I enjoy working under Roy, I enjoy being at this club, and the fans have been great.

“Obviously there’s certain restrictions the club might find itself facing in terms of the budget if, God forbid, we go down.”
