Finnish forward Shefki Kuqi made just four first-team appearances after being loaned from Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day in 2007 with Fulham lacking a focal point in attack after Brian McBride’s dislocated kneecap. Kuqi failed to hit the target for the Whites, although he did cause carnage in the Reading penalty area as a substitute allowing Simon Davies to open the scoring against Fulham’s relegation rivals. His loan was terminated early by Roy Hodgson once the new Fulham manager had signed reinforcements up front.
