Fulham are planning a new move for Wigan defender Paul Scharner, according to Sky Sports News.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is a big fan of the Austrian international and is keen to lure him to Craven Cottage.
Hodgson has already seen one £3million bid rejected by Wigan earlier this month, but the Fulham chief is refusing to give up on his pursuit of Scharner.
Fulham are ready to up their offer as they look to strenghthen their squad before the close of the transfer window.
Wigan would be reluctant to lose Scharner but manager Steve Bruce could be tempted to do business for a sizeable offer so that he can fund his own spending plans.
